When you are
confident about speaking and using the stage,
you can accept speaking offers, run seminars and
webinars, communicate your ideas and your value
in the boardroom, out networking and at
conferences.
Is lack of
confidence stopping you from taking advantage of
these opportunities?
Fear or nerves?
Procrastination?
Avoidance?
I know how it
feels - from year two when I discovered that I
swayed when reciting that poem out at the front of
the class, I learned I was being judged, and
couldn't trust my body to do what I needed it to do.
Many, many years
later, I still get nervous, but I welcome that.
That is not lack
of confidence.
Lack of confidence
allows the nerves to undermine, to trip, to
destroy any forward movement with your speaking
growth.
Now, I have a
checklist of tasks and mindset supports that I
use to move forward, speaking, and running
workshops and seminars.
